Church Life

This is expressed on various levels through Congregational gatherings for worship, fellowship and service, Fellowship Groups for sharing on a more personal level and Inter Church activities.

CONGREGATIONAL ACTIVITIES

 

Sunday Worship

9.15 a.m

. - Holy Communion with a more formal and reflective tone. [On the 4th Sunday more traditional Prayer Book language is used]

Coffee is serve in the Hall between Services

11.00 a.m

. - Various Services with a more informal and ‘all age’ feel.

Children are with us for part of this service and are welcome to join Sunday School in the Hall for the rest of the Service.

The 11.00 a.m. Service normally follows this monthly pattern:

1stMorning Worship

– Children start in Church.

2ndFamily Parade Service –Children start in Church.

3rdBaptism Service – Children start in Church.

4thFamily Communion with Ministry of Healing

 Children start in the Hall and join us at the Peace.

5thMorning Worship– Children start in Church.

There is a Prayer Corner at the back of church after each service – if you sit there someone will come and pray with you

Facilities for the disabled the church buildings have provision for those in wheel chairs, find steps a problem, are hard of hearing or poor sighted. Please ask a sidesperson if you need assistance.

Midweek Worship

10.30 a.m. on Wednesdays

 (except the 2nd)Holy Communion

This is normally in Traditional Language with Hymns and Talk

Home Communion. We have a Team of Pastoral Assistants and Lay Readers who can bring communion monthly to the housebound.

Church Family Prayer Meeting

takes place at 7.30 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at the Vicarage: a time for the whole Church Community to meet for fellowship, worship and to pray for the needs of the parish

Caring and Sharing Activities

Toddlers Group

 - Happy Lions–in the Hall on Tuesday mornings from 9.15 a.m. For pre school children with carers.

Over 50’s – Cameo – in the Hall on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month. A place to make friends and hear interesting speakers. 10.30 to Noon

Cafι on the Hill – every Wednesday in the Hall from 12 till 2 pm.

Enjoy a good lunch in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

ALPHA – a gathering over a friendly meal to hear what Christianity offers with an opportunity for discussion and questions in small groups. Thursdays at 7 pm in Church.
